Backup Mod

What it does

Lets you call in gang backup rides that actually drive to you, park nearby, and shoot anyone who's giving you trouble. Four crews to pick from — Families, Ballas, The Lost MC, and Merryweather mercs. Each one rolls up in their own vehicles with their own colors, weapons, and blips on the map.

You pick Random Vehicle or Helicopter for each gang. Heli backup spawns already in the air and flies over to you shooting. Ground backup spawns a couple blocks away on a real road and drives to your position.


   Installation

    Make sure ScriptHookV and SHVDN3 are installed.
    Drop BackupMod.dll into your scripts folder 
    Launch the game. The mod creates a BackupMod.ini config file on first launch.

The menu doesn't close after you pick something. You can spam-call backup without reopening it every time.
How it works

Pick a gang from the menu, then choose Random Vehicle or Helicopter. The backup spawns 150-250m away (configurable) on an actual road, with a driver and 1-3 armed passengers. They drive to you, and if there's trouble nearby they start shooting out the windows. If the coast is clear they just hang around your position and follow you if you move.

Each gang has their own identity:

    Families — green rides, green blips. Buccanners, Chinos, lowriders, that sort of thing.
    Ballas — purple everything. Similar cars but purple paint.
    The Lost MC — motorcycles by default. Daemon, Hexer, Zombie Bobber. They ride in formation-ish and carry sawed-offs and pistols.
    Merryweather — military contractors. Crusaders, Insurgents, armored stuff. Heavier weapons, more passengers, and they get APCs and attack helis more often.

Settings (in BackupMod.ini)

The config file is generated automatically. You can change pretty much everything:

    Menu key
    Spawn distance (how far away they appear)
    Driving speed and style (Safe / Aggressive / Rush — also changeable in the menu)
    Max number of backup units at once (default 12, can go up to 20)
    Blip toggle
    Enemy detection range
    And per-gang stuff: vehicle lists, helicopter lists, passenger counts, weapon pools, armored/APC spawn chances, blip colors

All of this is also adjustable from the menu in-game with the left/right arrows, except the per-gang model lists which are in the INI.
Notes

    Helicopters are limited to combat choppers (Buzzard, Annihilator, Valkyrie, etc.) because civilian helis don't let passengers shoot.
    Passengers only get weapons that can actually be fired from inside a vehicle. No RPGs or grenade launchers for the guys sitting in the car — they'd just sit there doing nothing.
    Dead backup stays on the ground (bodies don't vanish) but their blips get removed. Survivors keep fighting. Disband All cleans everything up.
    The menu blocks the phone while it's open so you don't accidentally open Franklin's phone while navigating.
